Here I have HTC U11 and let me show you how to enter the recovery mode on the following device

So at the very beginning let me start by holding a power key, choose power off and wait until

your phone will be completely switched off. Afterwards let's use the following combination of keys, power key and volume down

Let's hold down together these two keys for a couple of seconds. Keep holding both keys, power and volume down

And you have to release both keys as soon as download mode pops up, here you can navigate

by using both volume keys. Let's scroll down to highlight reboot to bootloader and press power key to choose it

The device is booting into bootloader mode, let's wait a couple of seconds

And that's it, the bootloader mode is already on the screen. You can navigate here by using both volume keys

Let's scroll down and choose reboot to recovery and press power key to select it

And now the device is booting into recovery mode, let's wait a few seconds

And as soon as the following image pops up, let's press power key, hold down power and

while holding power press volume up once. And that's it, the android recovery just pops up, here you can navigate by using both volume keys

You may accomplish here an update from ADB, update from SD card, wipe data factory reset

wipe cache partition, mount system, you can view recovery logs or run graphic test

If you would like to quit this mode let's choose either power off or reboot system now
