Welcome, and in front of me I have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus
0:08
That's a mouthful. And today I will show you how you can apply a tempered glass to this phone
0:13
Now, as you can probably guess, I'll be using a different version of a glass
0:19
But because the screen size is basically the same, you can see that it will work just fine
0:26
Now, the difference in a typical tempered glass that you probably buy deliberately for this phone
0:33
is that it will have a hole-punched camera, unlike this one that does not accommodate for this
0:39
So, anyway. So, apart from the actual tempered glass inside, you should also find..
0:44
Not that. There we go. You should find one of these. So, we have wet and dry wipe
0:51
Now, you could use those if you wanted to, but truth be told, they're absolute garbage
0:56
and it's probably easier just to use something else. And sometimes it happens that the wet wipe is actually dry
1:03
but in this case it's actually still wet, which you can kind of see right here
1:09
So, at least that's that. Anyway, I won't be actually using them
1:14
because just as you can see, the size of this is absolutely hilarious
1:20
So, I don't want to bother with it. So, I just prefer to use my microfiber cloth
1:24
It works as well, if not better, in my opinion, and that's just what I prefer to use
1:30
Obviously, you can use microfiber cloth like I am, or you can use those wipes if you prefer to
1:35
It's completely up to you. I just, from experience, rather use this. Anyway
1:40
So, now let's just clean our display. Actually, before I get to cleaning the display
1:45
I'm quickly going to go over how I apply my glass, just because I can then jump straight to the process
1:50
So, when you grab your glass and your screen is completely clean
1:54
unlike this one right now, the way I apply it is, if you have a hole-punched camera
1:59
I recommend starting with that side. So, let's just assume, pretend that there is a hole-punched camera
2:05
I would start it by basically aligning the hole-punched camera with the actual camera on the display
2:11
This will position the screen protector basically almost in a perfect position
2:16
You just need to make sure that then it's evenly spread from both sides
2:20
And also, when you're applying it on the lower half, because I do place it like a wedge at an angle, as you can see
2:27
so it won't stick, then you just kind of pinch the display
2:31
and make sure that while you're pinching, you just also start pinching the actual bezels of the phone
2:38
which will just give you a good sensation if the display or the glass is in the middle or not
2:43
And from there, you just kind of start lowering it even lower until it drops onto your screen
2:48
And that's basically all you need to do. The display will... Oh, not the display, the glass will start gluing itself to the display
2:55
without any problem. So, there we go. Additionally, if you have your case on
3:02
that can actually help you out, just because if you align it incorrectly
3:08
so assuming just place it down and drop it, as you can see, it's coming onto the protection of the case
3:16
It won't stick to the display, so you can just gently lift it back up, realign it
3:21
and then drop it back. So, it might give you a little bit of a bumper
3:26
for applying the temporary glass, which might be easier for some people
3:30
So, anyway, now that you kind of have a vague idea on how I apply the glass
3:36
maybe you have a different way, that's completely fine. Apply it your way if you have a different one
3:40
That's just how I do it. So, now that we get that out of the way, let's clean our display
3:44
You want to get rid of all the major grime from the display
3:49
dust primarily. So, just clean off any kind of smudges, and once you have done so..
4:11
There we go. We can move over to almost applying the temporary glass
4:16
Now, I do have a couple specks of dust. I don't know if they will be picking up on the camera
4:21
I guess there is one right here. There is another one right here
4:25
You do want to get rid of those. They might seem very small and insignificant
4:29
but they will cause you air bubbles under the temporary glass, so you do want to make sure that they're not there
4:36
when you're going to be dropping them. They're not there when you're going to be dropping that display
4:41
or that temporary glass. So, now that we get that out of the way
4:46
let's just quickly get going before any more dust settles. Now, for me, if you've just seen
4:57
there was only one layer to peel. So, only this one. Now, in certain cases, you might find temporary glass
5:09
that has a couple layers. Let me see if I have one
5:14
This one is plastic, but I think it also applies to it
5:18
Yep, there we go. So, I pull this one out. Some temporary glass will have two layers, as you can see
5:24
finish and also start. So, start will reveal the sticky side. So, what you're peeling off
5:33
or what you're grabbing to peel off, will be the side that you just throw out
5:37
So, start is you peel that part off, which will be like some clear thing
5:45
Just throw that out. And then, when you peel it off, you will apply it like this
5:50
And then finish will be just peel off the finish, which reveals the normal side that you will be using
5:55
touching all the time. Now, understand this is a plastic, but the same logic applies to temporary glasses
6:02
And also, apart from start and finish, they also have one and two
6:07
kind of like we have right here. But here we have only one
6:11
There is no two. So, when peeling that off, just peel off the first one
6:16
apply the glass, and then peel off the second one. Or if you have one, just peel that off
6:20
and automatically stick it. Additionally, once you have done so, as you can see, I have applied my glass
6:26
I have some massive air bubble right here, and nothing under it, so I can just kind of push it out
6:46
And there we go. So, as you can see, that is how you can apply
6:50
your temporary glass to your phone. And if you found this video helpful
