Welcome! In front of me is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and today I'll show
0:06
you how you can hard reset this device through recovery mode. I'll mention that this process allows you to get rid of a screen lock if you
0:18
have one set that you don't know but unfortunately this will also mean that
0:21
your device becomes FRP locked. And just to explain what that is, when the process
0:27
is finished, meaning the reset of your tablet, and you're going through the
0:31
setup process, one of the pages you'll be stopped and the device will force you
0:35
to verify the previously used protection. So one of them would be a screen lock
0:41
the other one would be Google or Samsung account. Now typically I'll have a guide
0:46
on how we can bypass this without actually needing to provide anything but
0:50
at the moment of recording this I have no way of bypassing this or none that I
0:56
know of. So unfortunately I just want you to know this. If you do this without
1:03
knowing your Google or Samsung account the device becomes locked and therefore kind of unusable unless you know your pattern or Google or Samsung
1:14
account. Now chances are in the future there might be a way to bypass this. I
1:19
have no way of knowing that obviously in the future. So at the current time of
1:24
recording this I have nothing to bypass this so just be aware. Anyway to get
1:30
started. Now I'm gonna get started from the lock screen though I don't have a
1:34
lock set but I will still go about it as though I would. So for the people
1:40
that have a lock screen that they just don't know, what you will need to do is hold power key and volume down to forcibly reboot the device. Because if you
1:50
have a screen lock and you try to turn it off this typical way by just
1:55
selecting the power button and selecting power off or just holding the power and
1:59
I believe volume down, whichever the combo is, it will tell you to draw the
2:03
pattern which you can just circumvent by holding power key and volume down for
2:08
like 10 seconds and it force reboots the device. Now apart from that we also need
2:14
a cable so we can boot into recovery mode and the cable needs to be plugged
2:18
into your computer. So right now and go. It's connected to our device and I just
2:30
connected. Okay so now lock the device. I'm gonna shift it to in this kind of
2:38
way. As you can see the volume buttons right over here. So I'm gonna hold power
2:42
key and a volume down like I mentioned. Now for the people that are doing this
2:46
you do want to interact with your display because it will timeout before
2:54
the tablet turns off. So just touch the display. Once it turns off switch to
2:58
volume up. So power button and volume up. When you see Galaxy logo let go of the
3:03
power and we are now in the recovery mode. So from here we can unplug the
3:12
device. And then using volume buttons to navigate through this menu right here
3:19
you want to select wipe data factory reset. Confirm it with power button and
3:24
select factory data reset the same way. And from there you will see at the
3:31
bottom data wipe complete and reboot system now should be then selected by
3:37
default. So press power button once again. This will initiate a reboot. Now
3:44
because we just factory reset the device it will take it a little bit longer to
3:49
boot back up just because it's continuing the reset of itself in the
3:54
background. So give it a minute two minutes to finish that up and once it's
3:58
completed it will be presented with Android setup screen. So I'll be back
4:02
once that is visible for me. And as you can see the process is now finished and you can set up your device
4:11
however you like. Now if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like
