Here I have HTC U Play and let me show you how to enter recovery mode on the following phone

At the very beginning let's hold down power key for a few seconds, choose power off and

wait until your device will be completely switched off. Afterwards you have to use the following combination of keys, power key and volume down

Let's hold down together these two keys for a few seconds. Keep holding both keys and release them as soon as HTC logo pops up on the screen

Now let's wait a few seconds. As you can see a download mode just pops up in front of you

You can navigate here by using both volume keys. So let's scroll down to choose reboot to bootloader and press power key to confirm it

Now the device is rebooting into bootloader mode. Let's wait a couple of seconds

You may accomplish here a couple of interesting operations, for example apply update from

integrity check, mount system and view recovery logs. You may also read some detail information about your phone, for example the Android
