Welcome! In front of me is an iPhone 14 Pro and today I will show you how we can restore this
0:05
device from a backup. So for this I'm going to be using a computer. I'm using Windows as you can
0:15
probably gather from the video but you can also do this on Mac. The process might vary just a
0:22
little bit because on a Mac you don't need iTunes while on Windows you do. Actually on Mac you don't
0:27
even have iTunes anymore. So if you're using a Mac just open up your Finder which is basically
0:33
the Explorer icon and for Windows you will need to download iTunes which can be done by going into
0:39
the Microsoft Store, searching for iTunes, getting it from there and there we go. So once you have it
0:45
you can plug in your device. If you're not running the latest version of iOS you will probably get a
0:52
pop-up that there is a new version and you can download it but you can completely disregard it
0:58
Now if you never plugged in your phone to your computer and interacted with this kind of
1:03
interface right here then you can quickly restore it from here. As you can see you can choose
1:09
straight away from here but if you have already done so then you can restore your device from this kind of interface which should show up in Finder
1:22
Now on a Mac or not on Mac if it is on Finder on Windows it would be
1:30
this tiny icon right here. You can just click on it and then you can select restore backup
1:37
Now it gives you a pop-up letting you choose which backup you want to select
1:42
From there choose one that you want, select restore and this will begin the process. Now
1:48
depending on how much you might be restoring this may vary in length so that is something
1:53
to keep in mind. I don't think I have much to restore here though I guess we'll find out
1:58
so I'm gonna let it run through and come back once the process is finished
2:06
So we can see right now the backup or not backup but restore has been now finished
2:30
Now it's requiring me to put in a pin because previous backup did have one
2:36
Actually no this is a create, never mind. So this just creates one and I messed up
3:06
actually I don't really want to use any kind of count. Ah there we go skip this step
3:22
I believe the process setup process normally should be a little bit quicker. The device here wasn't set up I was actually quite curious if I restore the device
3:32
how much of setup I will need to go through but it looks like it's almost the entire thing
3:38
And additionally as you can see once you restore your device are you kidding me? Once you restore your device it might take a moment for the apps to actually
3:51
load in but yeah these ones are running will download just because I'm not signed in at all. So
3:58
technically restore doesn't actually as the name would imply restore apps it just gives the data
4:05
to the device what it needs to download again. And right now as you will see if I try to
4:12
open it up it just tells me that I need to sign in because it needs to re-download the damn app
4:17
But other than that any kind of photos music media documents stuff like that if you were
4:22
restoring that to your device it should be there. Just the apps that can be downloaded
4:27
will be downloaded. So anyway if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like
4:32
subscribe and thanks for watching
