Welcome, in front of me is a ZTE Blade V2020 and today I'll show you how to enable and
0:14
set up the portable hotspot. And to get started, let's pull down the notification panel, expand it and look for the hotspot toggle
0:23
Which for me is right over here. Once you find it, hold the toggle, this will quickly take you to the settings
0:29
So from here, all you need to do is tap on WiFi hotspot and then change the settings
0:34
by selecting setup WiFi hotspot. So then here at the very top we have the ZTE Blade V2020, that's gonna be the name of the
0:42
network, so if you want to change it, you are free to do so. I'm gonna keep it as it is, it's fairly simple and easy to remember, it's always gonna be
0:49
the name of the device. Then below that we have security, do keep it as it is, otherwise it's just gonna turn
0:55
off any kind of protection, password and anybody can connect to that hotspot which
1:01
makes it not very secure. Then below that, you have a password and as you can see by default it's just some random
1:07
numbers, so if you want to you can change it yourself by removing the old one and setting
1:12
any kind of password you want. Now it does need to have at least 8 characters in length at which point you will be able
1:18
to save it. And you can use letters and numbers, I'm just sticking with numbers here though
1:24
And from there we have hide my device, don't recommend doing this because without it you
1:30
will need to manually add the network name and the password won't be visible in the list
1:36
at all. And below that we have the AP band, so you have a choice between the 2.4 and 5 GHz, so
1:43
you can select which one you want. Now a little disclaimer here, not every device will support the 5 GHz WiFi, so if you're
1:52
certain that your device does not support it, then don't even enable it, otherwise if
1:58
you do it won't be even visible in the list. And if you're uncertain if your device supports it or not, what you can do is just simply
2:07
turn it on and see if your device sees this hotspot with 5 GHz, if not, go back here and
2:13
change it back to 2.4. Basically the simplest way to figure it out
2:18
Anyway, from here click on the checkmark and that will save all the settings
2:23
And all you need to do now is simply go to the toggle once more, tap on it to enable
2:28
it and there we go. Now right now hotspot is enabled and you can connect to it
2:35
Once you're done with it I do recommend you to turn it off, it didn't look like there was any kind of settings associated with the automatic turn off
2:42
And you want to turn it off because number one it's going to consume more battery on your device and number two it does use WiFi to broadcast the hotspot
2:50
So while the hotspot is enabled you will be only using your mobile network for basically
2:56
any kind of network need. The network that you're sharing with someone is going straight from your mobile rather
3:03
than WiFi. And as you can see once you turn it off it will re-enable WiFi as well
3:09
That being said, if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks
