Welcome! I'm from the museum Motorola One Vision and today I'll show you how to
0:09
transfer files from your device to an SD card and vice versa. So to get started
0:14
let's open up the file sub. So it's right here. And from here we will want to go
0:26
into 3Dots and see the SD card only. So let's see if we can change that by
0:33
show internal storage. So right here and now we should see both of them. There we
0:38
go. So let's go to the internal one and from here you have all these folders. Now
0:44
each one of them has different files but the most important ones would be that
0:50
DCIM that downloads and depending on device pictures. So DCIM will have any
0:59
kind of file, photo, video that you have captured with the device. Pictures will
1:04
contain most of the time screenshots unless they're visible in here which
1:09
I'm not sure if there are or not. You can probably quickly check it. If I capture a
1:16
screenshot we'll see where it saves it on this phone. So let's go back. Get rid of this
1:22
So if we go into pictures. Yeah so it seems like pictures are being
1:26
screenshots are being saved into the pictures folder. Well DCIM will contain anything captured with the camera itself. That'd be selfies or
1:35
normal photos, videos. And then download folder will contain anything that you
1:39
have downloaded throughout either emails, just a web browser, any kind of file that
1:44
could be image, music, documents, whatever it is. It will always be in the
1:48
downloads folder. And the rest of the folders like music, movies contains files
1:53
that you have placed there yourself. So you most likely know that it's in there. So starting off we're gonna find our files that we want to move which for me
2:03
it's gonna be this one image right here. And it's located in the camera under the
2:08
DCIM folder. So you want to select the image or well in your case whatever it
2:14
is it could be any kind of file. But you do it the same way by simply holding it
2:18
and get selected and the blue check mark right here. And then additional files you
2:24
can just tap on them. Simply just tap on them instead of holding them and they
2:27
will have added check marks. So let me just quickly show you what I mean. So if
2:32
I select it like so I can then add simply tap on more of them to
2:37
add them on as you can see. So let's go back here and you can select like you
2:44
just seen either the file itself, entire folder if you want to. If you have a
2:49
folder full of images you can just select the entire folder or you can just
2:55
go here as well and do that. So select whatever you want to move. So as you can
3:00
see I have the entire DCIM folder right now selected with all of its content which I think it's still just one image. And once you want to select it
3:08
you want to tap on the three dots and we should have two options right here. So
3:12
you have copy and move to. Now if you choose copy it will just create an
3:16
additional set of the same files. So it just duplicates everything and moves it
3:21
the duplicate is being moved to your location of choice. While move option
3:25
will completely remove it from where it is right now and then be moved to
3:30
your desired location. So select whichever one suits you. I'm gonna go
3:34
with move and then you get this whatever. So let's just tap on the three dots
3:42
right here and go into the storage that we want to move it to. So for me I'm
3:46
gonna move it to the SD card right here and it gives you similar structure of
3:50
folders as we had on the internal storage. But the key difference if we go
3:54
into the DCIM you can see that right now it's empty. And also picture should
4:00
also be empty. So yeah so from here all you really need to do is tap on move
4:05
moving one item and there we go now it has been moved. So if we go back to the
4:11
SD card because on the back you can see it create a second actually DCIM folder
4:16
and added the one because there is already one. It didn't give us an option
4:20
to merge them but if we go in here you can see that there is our image right
4:25
here. So that is how you would move any kind of file, copy it from your phone to
4:33
an SD card and vice versa. And if you found this very helpful don't forget to
4:36
like, subscribe and thanks for watching
