Hi everyone! In front of me I've got a Xiaomi 12X and let me share with you how to block a number on this device

So first of all let's open our contact list because basically we've got two different ways to block a number

We can do it using our contacts, so basically you can block a number which you've got currently saved

or you can do it using, let's say, the settings and of course I'll show you both options

So let's begin with the contacts. Let's find the contact you'd like to block and tap on it

and here we have to tap on this three dots icon in the right upper corner

As you can see we've got the option block number so just tap on it and here your device is asking you

if you really want to block this number because you will no longer receive any incoming calls or text messages from it

So I don't want to report it as a spam and I want to block it so just tap on this option

As you can see we've got this characteristic icon once more and we've got the info that this number is right now blocked

Of course you can unblock it the same way just by tapping on this three dots icon and tapping on unblock

but let's leave it like this. We will check if it will actually appear on the blacklist

So now we can go back and here in this second way to block a number it doesn't really matter if you will be on the contacts

As you can see this is the number we just blocked from our contacts so everything went fine

We successfully blocked a number from the contacts and here we can simply tap on add a number

and this time we can enter the number manually which means that you do not have to have it saved on your contacts

So let's enter the number and tap on block and as you can see it will immediately appear on the blacklist

Once more we've got the option unknown which after activating means that it will block all calls from unidentified callers

It's quite useful. Now of course you can turn it off whenever you want to just by tapping on the switcher again
