Welcome! In front of me is a Oppo A79 and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and
0:04
tricks you can do on this device. So let's start off by navigating into our settings
0:12
and here we're going to begin by going into the display and brightness. Now right off the bat at the very front we have the light and
0:19
dark mode which you can choose and you can also select it to be on a
0:23
schedule. There are two different options for the schedule either sunset to sunrise or on a custom timer of your choice
0:31
And this will basically make it so the mode switches from light to dark automatically based on the provided time
0:37
or basically from sunset to sunrise giving you arguably best of both worlds
0:43
Now when we scroll down we have a screen color mode. Now here you can select
0:47
color mode for your display so if you find your display to be a little bit too vibrant which is personally for me usually the
0:53
case I like to set it to natural which tones down the color just a
0:57
little bit. Here it's not such a big difference though we can see it hopefully in the reds and it's clearly visible on the camera
1:04
Like the difference here is massive. It's not as big of a difference when it
1:08
comes down to blues purples and all that stuff but the kind of like red orangish yeah those are
1:13
way too overdone. And moving on we have the screen refresh rate so we have two different options
1:21
or technically three. We have the auto select high and standard. Standards is a
1:25
60 high is 90 and auto select is basically both at the same time depending on what the device needs to utilize at the given moment
1:32
So as an example right now it's running at 90 but if I go back to this page it's going to be running at 60. Now the way I know that is just
1:38
knowing the feature. So whenever there is any kind of content moving on a display like for instance this right here
1:44
the device will automatically switch to the higher refresh rate to give you better viewing experience. But when there is nothing moving like
1:51
the previous page then it will automatically drop to 60 to preserve
1:54
battery life. Now if you're planning to only prioritize battery life on this device then I recommend changing it to standard
2:01
For everyone else the default option that is selected will be probably the better option
2:08
Now continuing on we have the home screen and lock screen and here we
2:14
have home screen mode. I have two different ones. We have the drawer mode and the standard one. So if you like the
2:20
kind of like an apple-esque feel with all your applications smack in the
2:24
middle of your home screen you can select the standard. Now like I
2:28
said the default one here is the drawer mode which is pretty good
2:32
You also can add the show app suggestions so what this will do is
2:36
add if I select this there we go it's already there come on so you can see we get this little row right here of
2:45
suggested apps. Those will be changing based on what apps you use frequently and they will be showing up right here
2:51
when the device thinks that you might be looking for this kind of application
2:55
Sometimes it might be hit sometimes might be a miss so just keep that in mind
3:01
Now moving on into gesture navigation we can find it into additional
3:05
settings and system navigation. So here we have the two different navigation
3:09
styles. Now this is shown to you throughout the setup process and you can choose whichever one you want but
3:15
maybe you change your mind you can find these right here. One thing that you didn't have throughout the setup process if you use gesture navigation is the
3:21
hide gesture guide bar which is already actually enabled by default. At least I think it is
3:30
I'm not necessarily sure because most devices do have this visible the
3:34
bar at the bottom so if you want to hide it if it's visible for you you can do so right here and it will just kind of vanish from
3:41
your view giving you a bit of a cleaner look to your device
3:45
Anyway with that being said that's basically it for the tweaks and tricks
3:49
I want to show you so if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
