Here I have HTC Desire 5030 and let me show you how to enter the download mode on this device

So at the very beginning let's start by pressing a power key

Let's choose power off and wait until your device will be completely switched off

important detail information about your device. And you can also use a barcode, system info, you can reboot to bootloader or reboot to download

If you would like to quit this mode you have to choose reboot or power down. Let me choose reboot, press power key to choose it and now the device is restarting and rebooting
