F9 is a Sony Xperia 10 Mark III and today I'll show you how to go through the setup
0:13
process of this device. So when you put it up for the first time, you'll be presented with this welcome screen
0:20
that you can see right over here and all you need to do is select your desired language
0:24
from the list right here and then tap on Get Started. This will bring you to the next bit which is important information which to be honest
0:37
is just legal documents so obviously we have, let's see, we have a data chart, we have some
0:43
important warranty, safety, let's be honest there's probably somewhere also privacy policy
0:51
and stuff like that in here so yeah. Anyway, from here you simply need to select the two first ones, I can read them obviously
0:59
and then tap on Accept at the bottom. You have Connect to Mobile Network, this will allow you to insert a SIM card
1:06
This is strictly just for mobile network right here throughout the setup because you have two choices, you can either connect to mobile or connect to Wi-Fi but if you choose to skip
1:16
both of them you will lose the ability to log in to Google account and additionally
1:20
date and time might not be set correctly and I'll be skipping both of them so we'll see
1:26
if that is correct or not. So there is the Wi-Fi as well
1:34
Later on you can also change those settings by enabling Wi-Fi through Settings and setting
1:39
it all up and as you can see there is the date and time, now it is most certainly not
1:45
correct so you would have to fix it up or connect to Wi-Fi or mobile which will do it
1:49
automatically for you but I'm not going to be bothering with it. Then we have Google services so we have location scanning and sending user and diagnostic data
1:58
So brief version of all of these, location as just GPS tracking, allows scanning, allows
2:06
the device to look for things like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals and then send user and diagnostic
2:10
data basically allows Google to gather data on you and send it to themselves so absolutely
2:14
creepy thanks no and I'm just going to disable it and go to the next page
2:20
Then we have set screen lock option, now by default it opts into a four digit PIN so if
2:28
there is something that you want you can just simply set it up but if you want to use something
2:32
else you can tap right over here and choose also between password and pattern
2:38
And obviously if you don't want to use anything you can also skip it but I'll be setting up
2:43
a pattern, there we go and it's now set. It also prompts me to set up a fingerprint, I'm going to skip this I don't want to add
2:52
one but if you want to do so you can just tap on continue and then start scanning it
2:57
on the fingerprint sensor that is on the part. Continue setup, yes
3:05
So here we have system navigation, we have two choices, the typical three button navigation
3:09
that has been out for some time already and gesture navigation. So choose whichever one suits you more, anything else, nope and that basically finishes up
3:24
the setup. Yep, there we go. Click on finish and there is your home screen
3:29
